Not something I expected to see! Thanks!

I was trying to read the cover of the book at the bottom from cognates to Spanish - something like "an earthquake for the purpose of good?" Then a disillusioned communist, a misogynistic alpinist, an aspiring TV star, Dante, Lourdes, and an involuntary journey? If I could read Italian, I'd read the book just to see how they all fit together.

Dave, the translation is correct, that's a peculiar book indeed written by the seismologist professor who mantains the blog. It makes me curious as well.

The S-waves plot has been corrected, the Y-axis previously showed values which were 10 times larger than actual ones, now the maximum energy concentration is in the range of 6-8 Hz which is more compatible with the way the steel hull folded up during the crash.
