Hi all,
I'm searching for an analytical calculation (excel formulas) for thermal displacement in offset nozzles on cylindrical shells of horizontal pressure vessels supported by saddle supports.
Could someone to support me in such guidelines to formulate this expanded coordinates X;Y;Z? Check the attachment here to understand the subject better.

Thanks a lot.

When the vessel heats up the whole vessel gets bigger. The expansion is away from the fixed support.

If your nozzle is X,Y,Z from the fixed support. Then X,Y,Z all get bigger but the thermal expansion.
