Hi
I'm looking for thermal properties of S235JR and E295 (Non-alloy structural steels).
Thermal conductivity and Specific Heat Capacity in particular.
Thanks for your help

Find a copy of ;
High Temperature Property Data: Ferrous Alloys
ed. Rothman, ASM, ISBN: 0-87170-243-6

They have them as graphs or I would list values.
All low alloy carbon steels have nearly identical physical properties. The catch is finding a reliable source.

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
I found the information from SolidWork 2009, but I was looking for an aternative source as the thermal conductivity for both material seems very low: 14 W/mK

Can someone comment on it?
Thanks

For carbon steel 1026, which would be similar to the steels listed above at 300 deg K

heat capacity @ 300 deg K ~ 0.48 kj/kg K

thermal conductivity @300 deg K ~ 52.4 W/m K
