Thermal Scanning for flammable release detection

We are evaluating flammable gas detection to take proactive action following a flammable leak of fluid at 340 C, under pressure.

Is anyone aware of the use of thermal cameras to detection a leak and activate say a deluge. As such keeping room temps below the flash point would prevent a flash fire as the fluid is cooled.

Equally i guess the technology is too complex to implement to make it effective which is why flammable gas detections are used. But I wonder if warehouse type systems for totes etc.. if such systems are used..

yes i've looked those up, they do work..but we are looking for back up method as there are some technical issues with those for the fluids involved
