Thermal stress in thick hollow cylinder.

Hello,
I have a problem in which I have to calculate the axial stress because of difference of temperature in a thick hollow cylinder I found the types for the radial and tangent stress but I cannot find the one for the axial.The types for the radial and tangent are in the attached picture

This is the link Also i have another question.I have this hollow cylinder and he is stressed with this thermal stresses for 14000 cycles and i want to pick the right material so he wont break because of the fatique. I take the equal dynamic stress by zonderberg and i put sm=0 and sr the maximum stress at the beggining of the temperature flux but the temperature drops and the stresses becomes equal to 0.I i use the Wohler diagram in order the find the Sf in 14000 cycles and i compare it to the von misses dynamic equal stress.Is this correct?
 
If this thick hollow cylinder is thick due to internal pressure, then you ought to be following the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. There are fatigue methods there.
 
As I recall, this axial thermal problem was addressed in one of the Timoshenko stress handbooks.

ASME sction I does not offer a fatigue damage guideline or solution, but one can use ASME section VIII div 2 and use a canned finite element program to determine the stresses. If there are weld related abnormalities then perhaps a fracture mechanics approach may be used- see EN 12952-3 tables B-1,2 or 3.
