Does anyone know much about them? what formulas to use to calculate resitance at certain temperatures.

Try searching some Application notes in

http://www.epcos.com.

In any datasheet you can find a lot of info about the specific Thermistor which is similar to everyone.

Don't forget to keep an eye on the response time of the thermistor... Some take a bit of time to settle in the desired measure.

The formula depends on what thermistor you are using. I would suggest that you look up the datasheet for your specific thermistor.

When I was playing around with mine, I calibrated mine with an accurate thermometer by recording the resistance at various temperatures. Then I plotted them and used that the convert.
