I am working with panel layup where we have Thermoplastic, nomex core and aluminum parts. Due to CTE differences, thermoplastic doesn't adhere well with aluminum, what are the recommended finishes on embedded aluminum ?

There are well established aerospace processes for aluminum surface treatment for bonding. These are pretty complex and costly. Certain design features can greatly reduce post bonding stresses. Rivets maybe ultimately more robust and less costly.
