Force makes it go!
I have spent years trying to teach them.
Akkamaan can verify this.
Newton did not include flow or pressure in his 3 laws of motion.
It takes a net force to make something accelerate and a piston will accelerate until the sum of forces on it is zero
This is the basis of Jack Johnson's VCCM equation.
See here.
In the case of hydraulic cylinders there are TWO forces. One that is pushing where the oil is entering.
The other is where the oil is exiting. It takes force to push the oil out of the opposing side of the piston.
I am p!$$ed. Very p!$$ed. I have been trying to educate people on the realities of hydraulic motion and yet after 20+ yeard yet people still get it wrong.
I am 69 yo now. There will come a time where I don't give a f##K.
So get your sh$t together. This is how it really works.
I challenge anybody to refute this.
What is really said is the politics and marketing of this.
Jack Johnson wanted to make models of hydraulic components.
I know how to do this. I can model just about anything but I wouldn't participate because the big companies wouldn't contribute or just take advantage of what they have learned.
Yes, I have an award of the IFPS honors society or hall of fame, but I could do so much more as my real expertise lies in modeling and control of just about anything.
So sad.
Both Mary and Josh have known me for many year. They should have checked with me.
