Hi,

I was working on design of mechanical room on second floor which supports a heavy mechanical turbine pump. I wanted to know if there is any minimum thickness required to support the heavy turbines.(>100k load)

The minimum thickness would be heavily depends on the mounting method of the turbine - either on legs or on skid.
For both cases, check required thickness to resist punching shear induced by weight & impact, without the help from reinforcing steel.
