Hi,
I'm working on a school project with a jet engine compressor disk, and I have to make an Ansys model of it. I'm rather new to Ansys though, and I was wondering: is there an easy way to model these three?
1. Torque experienced by disk (M) = 1 MNm (outer & inner surfaces; having problems finding out how to apply a moment on a surface..)
2. Maximum thrust (T) = 100 kN, in the z direction (when applying it on the outer surface, it always ends up being radial instead)
3. Maximum design rpm (?) = 1.5 x 10^4 rpm
And how do I set the inner surface's movement to zero? In I-deas (the program I usually use), I can select a surface, independent of the mesh, and I can't find that function in Ansys..
cheers,
Berit
