Dear All,

We are facing repeated leakage issues from Carbamate Condensers and Stripper in our Urea plant. Leakage sites are T-TS seal weld and internal groove formation at HAZ area of tube itself. Leakage occurs in top 10-15 mm of tubes or its seal weld. Please share if Please share your experience w.r.t. reclaiming tubes by using thin metallic inserts. What are the best known companies for this? and will it effect the thin film formation in our Stripper?

Regards,
Ahsan

CTI in Conn. are the best at this work. cti-ind.com
They work in a range of materials and applications.

That said the overall condition of the tubes is important with regard to how many leaking tubes can be recovered (40% or 90%) and how long the repairs may last.
This is a life extension technique. You need to also be planing for full replacement.
