Think outside the box temporary shoring

Contractor came up with this temporary shoring by others for enclosing a patio roof and pouring a new foundation wall for support.

Yikes. I suppose it could work (presumably it did) assuming the roof is strong enough to be suspended by two points. Does not look like any measures were taken to prevent it from swinging back and forth from a light wind. Creative.
 
This is shoring for a wall that was going to be excavated under. You can see the chains wrapped around the wall. I supported the steel beams well beyond the excavation on the wall that still has soil under it.
I don't mind saying that I was nervous the entire time it was open.
