Could anyone help.

We have a tapped hole in a part within an assembly model, the hole was created using the hole wizard.

Our problem is the tapped hole major thread diameter does not appear in the drawing and we are therefore unable to add a thread call out. The major diameter does appear in the assembly model.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks

I think cosmetic threads cannot be shown in a drawing of an assembly document. That said, I have no problem adding a hole callout to a tapped hole using Insert->Annotations->Hole Callout in an assembly drawing.

-handleman, CSWP (The new, easy test)

Go to Insert > Model Items > Annotations and select the Cosmetic Threads option.

Thanks for the replys

I have been able to dimension the tapped hole with a callout, but the cosmetic thread (OD) is still a problem.

I have sketched a broken circle on for the time being.

I welcome any more suggestions.

The Insert > Model Items didn't work for you?

What graphics card are you using?

Thanks for the reply.

No, the Insert> Model Items didn't work.

The graphics cards we use are Nvidia Quadro FX3500.

I hope this points to a possible solution.

This does work. Verified it myself. So yeah, I was dead wrong on my first post. Thanks, CBL! [2thumbsup] What happened when you tried it? There are several options in the dropdown box at the top of the "Insert Model Items" property manager. Try "Entire Model". It should bring in all cosmetic threads whether they were created in the part model or in the assembly.

-handleman, CSWP (The new, easy test)

handleman and CBL

All works fine now.

Thanks for the help
