Three core Multiplex cable

How the laying of three core multiplex cable is done?
Is it buried directly in underground or in ducts?

Technically speaking, a three core multiplex cable could be installed underground direct burial,
conduit, duct bank or trench. The installation decision is driving by rated cable insulation, cost, and preferences.
For example, in the USA it is often that UG cable is installed in duct bank with PVC conduits encased in concrete. In the IEC marketplaces, it is a common practice to install cables direct buried.
I do not see the advantage of using triplex cable installed in a duct bank
