three little dots??

Sometimes while I am drafting stuff, I get the cursor +... with three dots after it, usually this means that there are more than one object that can be chosen, but this is after the command has been executed, the three little dots remain... why..? And how can I get rid of them without saving and closing the part and reopening it?

If you are on a windows OS, then it is most likely a left over image. If thats not it then I have not idea.
