Three-phase demonstration. Antique(?) code won't run on modern computers?

The thread237-214368 thread has stirred some interest in three-phase systems in general and I received a PM saying that - which shows different single, two and three-phase systems with or without harmonics - had some quirks that made it difficult to download on modern computers.

I'm afraid that I cannot help because I am a lousy programmer and can't tell a mail address from a line of code. Can any one have a look and see if it works at all? I can then talk to Lars and ask him to do whatever needed to make it run on newer machines.

Gunnar, it appears to work ok on Win 7 as a native application, i.e. without using compatibility mode.

Observations:
[ul]
[li]The black 'oscilloscope' window initially appeared with a white background and the traces were almost invisible. Clicking 'clear graph' reset the background to black and all was well.[/li]
[li]At the regions of highest dv/dt the traces become a discontinuous series of dots.[/li]
[/ul]

Thanks, Scotty!

We have started do things in Java the last few years. I shall try and talk Lars into making a modern version. That white and black window is something we have noticed. Using line segments instead of dots is something we should try. Are there any other things to make better?

I don't know what happened to what I tried to post so I appologize if it comes through twice. We had out IT guys greate a virtual drive with the old windows on it. We access all our old Protection, Metering, Control, VSD, Soft Starters and the like from there. Ask for addition RAM when they do this as once you go in, it sits in the background and when you are back in your Windows 2007, 2010, and above, it gives you messages like, "You have insufficent resources to run this application."
