Hi All,
I have a 4" NPS 900# flanged throttle valve that is cast out of Chrome Moly steel, I have to get a CRN (Alberta)for it.
Question: Is it necessary to have ASME B16.34 calcs for it? Outside of a pressure test,or FEA, is there another test that will possibly deem it okay for a CRN? It has a 5/8" min wall.
Also, is there an ASME standard design guideline for valves?
Thanks!!!
