Hi all,
I am in an aerospace application (sorry, can't share specifics) - the product I have will be cycling through hot and cold/various humidity over the course of its life.
I'm curious if anyone has any experience with grade 5 Ti in conjunction with class 3 chem film on Aluminum. I see in MIL-STD-889 they appear to be incompatible, though I'm hearing (from potentially unreliable sources)that these dissimilar metals won't create a galvanic couple.
The surface area of the aluminum is much greater than that of the Ti.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
