Hi,

I am modeling a bridge with 6 girders and many transversal elements. When I tied the first elements, I got this kind of warning messages:

FOR *TIE PAIR (ASSEMBLY_SW5-3_SW5 Slave R-ASSEMBLY_G1-1_G1-SW5 Master 2), ADJUSTED NODES WITH VERY SMALL ADJUSTMENTS WERE NOT PRINTED. SPECIFY *PREPRINT,MODEL=YES FOR COMPLETE PRINTOUT.

*TIE BETWEEN SURFACE PAIR (ASSEMBLY_SW5-1_SW5 Slave R,ASSEMBLY_G2-1_G2-SW6/7 Master L 1) IS REVERTED BACK TO TYPE NODE-TO-SURFACE. THIS CASE MAY HAPPEN IF TYPE SURFACE-TO-SURFACE CANNOT FIND NODES TO TIE TOGETHER. PLEASE CHECK THE SURFACE DEFINITIONS.

FOR *TIE PAIR (ASSEMBLY_SW5-1_SW5 Slave R-ASSEMBLY_G2-1_G2-SW6/7 Master L 1), ADJUSTMENT WAS SPECIFIED BUT NO NODE WAS ADJUSTED MORE THAN THE ADJUSTMENT DISTANCE = 2.22000E-16.

How to fix these issues?
and if I ignore it, will affect the results or the functioning of the model later, knowing that these are the first transversal elements (constraints) among many others (around 70 other elements)?
Thank you in advance.

In thw Visualization module you can check the node sets generated by Abaqus and containing nodes that were tied and those that were not connected. Check them and make sure that connections were established between the whole surfaces, not just partially. It it looks fine then there’s nothing to worry about.
