I am laying out a gravity sewer line for a new building. There is a sewer lift station nearby that I would like to tie-in to. Are there any inssues with core hole drilling into the side of the existing SLS and allowing the effluent to drain directly into the sump? Is it preferable to run the gravity line first into a manhole near the SLS and then drain from the manhole to the SLS?
The gravity line is for an oil/water separator and the flows are extremely small and will not impact having to resize/reconfigure the existing pumps or alarms for the SLS.
