Timber roof purlin to Eurocodes 1

Hi, I am trying to help my friend design a timber roof purlin for a residential house. The roof is pitched at 35 degrees and I have to account for snow load, wind load etc.
I would really appreciate if anyone has any examples of timber purlin design in accordance to Eurocodes or British standards that I can have a look at.

The purlin is essentially a beam, so can i design the purlin the same way i would design a timber beam to eurocode 5?

Don't know about the Eurocode specifically. but you can get an increased stress allowance (15%) for shear and bending for purlins or rafters spaced at 24" on center or less, which would not be applicable to beams per se.
