Hello,
i am doing modelling of Early Age shrinkage Strain Development of Fresh Concrete. For each time the corresponding shrinkage strain is converted into a thermal contraction and expected to model in the finite element analysis software Abaqus by assigning a coefficient of thermal contraction(α). i am new to abaqus, i do not have much idea about assigning no of thermal contraction coefficient with respect to time, i got to know that it can be done through inputdeck.

Is there anyone who is familiar with this matter?. It's grateful if you give a response to me.
Thank you very much.

I assume you mean a thermal expansion coefficient.

Make the expansion coefficient dependent of a field variable. With an amplitude you can define how the field variable changes with time and so the expansion coefficient.

Hi Mustaine3,
yes, you are correct.
i tried to make the expansion coefficient dependent on a field variable. But i could not complete the task.
is there any code to do so?. if such, please guide me.

I have no example at the moment and no time to built one. Check the example problems manual and the verification manual if you can find an example there.
