Hi, I was wondering if any one has an idea about how to use SAP2000 time history options for entering time vs variable forces of a shutting down pump located on a concrete platform.
The nature of the load is varying (decreasing) with time but has a form of rotating machine and components in vertical and horizontal directions that are descending with the time.
Thanks,

I'm not quite following what the loading function is.

If the function isn't a sine, ramp, etc., then you could consider defining the function in a spreadsheet, exporting to a text file, and importing into SAP2000. To define the function, go to "Define Time History Functions," and add a "From File" function. Then use this function when you define the time history load case.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for the response and useful function.
