Sorry for my english. It isn't very good.
I want to do a Time History in workbench. I understand that I need to do a Transient Structural.
First, I'm modeling a beam to understand the analysis. I did a sketch and I extrude it. I did the mesh and I set the fixed support.
I wrote this code for the ground motion
*DIM,dataPath,STRING,128
*DIM,fileName,STRING,128
fileName(1,1)='2reg85'
dataPath(1,1)='C:\Users\Jorge Navarro\Documents\ANSYS PRUEBA\'
dataPath(1,1)=strcat(dataPath(1,1),fileName(1,1))
*DIM,Tt,table,8168,1,1,TIME
*TREAD,Tt,dataPath(1,1),txt,,0
D,NS_GROUND,ACCY,%Tt% !!!!NS_GROUND is a named selection and it's the fixed support node.
ALLs
But I have a problem, when I check base reactions, there are values in X and Z directions in the forces. ¿Why? If I check displacements, I only have in Y direction, I guess, displacements are ok.
