Is it possible to run a time history analysis and determine the dynamic response of the model to this time history loading? The only frequency/modal information I receive is the modal information from the Modal Analysis, which is needed as input in the time history menu. I'm just unsure if its possible to see what modes/frequencies are excited by the time history loading that I am applying.

You have to use the Define menu to Define time history functions and then define Time history analysis cases (if V11 or before) or Time history load case if V12. You can apply time history functions to acceleration load or to an assigned load such as as joint displacement, joint load, distributed load, etc. If you Define a time history case to acceleration, you will need to use the scale factor to scale to G in current units.
