There is a project we are working on and want to make sure that the building meets code. The store is a tire replacement facility where storage of tires and replacing of tires will occur. The base drawings provided only show exhaust out of the tire replacement areas during high CO or NO2 levels due to a sensor. The rest of the time, the exhaust is off. The garage doors, of which there are several, will remain open during operating hours.

Looking at code and ASHRAE, there doesn't appear to be a required exhaust flow rate.

I feel there's something I'm missing, but can't find it. So while I research it some more, I thought I'd ask for others opinions. First hand experience would be greatly appreciated.

Meet with the town or city inspection department and review your plan.

Just asking before we do this.
