That sounds rational--if you can't fix the problem then a sensible person struggles for the best position in the queue they can arrange.

David, I agree with your first post, a rather conservative assessment, IMO. I went through the first price jump in the early 70's and that was nearly catastrophic...If a jump from $.45/gal to $.85/gal can do all that I witnessed here in Socal, I can only guess at the conflagration a price change form ~$4.00 to ~$10.00 would befall us!!!
