hello all,
I have been associated with development of new series of ball valves for high temperature service. where i am facing the problem of using Soft-Sealing due to service condition. can anyone suggest me the possibility of using TiTanium/ Aluminium seal rings opposed to metal seal option to obtain higher rate of sealing.

Neither titanium nor aluminum are high temperature materials. Titanium picks up oxygen and nitrogen at temperatures as low as 315 C, gradually embrittling. Aluminum melts at only 660 C.

How high a temperature are you looking at and what pressure conditions? A standard metal (non-alloyed) seat might just do, depending on the parameters.
