We 've just created our own titleblock and saved it as a drawing. When we what to start a new drawing, we click File --> New from.

How can we arrange the settings so that the titleblock is automatically filled in when we insert a Part in our Drawing?

Any suggestions?

Greg or Koen - you have to use Attribute links from drafting to create links to parameters in your product.

In drafting create a blank text box
Right click over the text box in display area
select attribute link
go to 3d model and select parameter

Sorry for the rough description - very busy.

Derek

Derek, thanks for your reply.

In the meantime we have tried out your proposal, but this nevertheless not yet produced the desired result.

For example: We wish that “the Partnumber” is filled in automatically each time we insert a certain view in a new drawing.

By means of your proposal (Attribute links) we still ourselves must lay the link for the partnummer.

Now we were wondering if there doesn’t exist a possibility, so that the partnumber is filled in automatically each time we insert a certain visibility in a new drawing.

This is possible in SolidWorks
