Tolerance of Upset Rivet Head

Can someone help me understand this?
I need to report these features on our AS9102 FAIR and I have never dealt with Upset Rivet heads.
We are conforming to .042 MAX HEIGHT and .078 DIA MIN

What I do not understand is the column headers:
DIA MAX 1.66D
HEIGHT MIN .33D
DIA MIN. 1.25D
HEIGHT MAX .66D

What does the D mean after the dimension?

Any help to understand this will be much appreciated.

D is presumably the fastener nominal diameter.

How I would have written this table...

Tolerance of upset [bucked/squeezed] rivet tail, D= rivet shank diameter
Dia Max= 1.66 x D... Height Min= 0.33 x D
Dia Min= 1.25 x D... Height Max= 0.66 x D

Example... [NOT.. teeny-tiny1/16-Dia]

That table was probably written by a bored Lit major who never used the table nor understood the terms.

It would be sensible and helpful to have the MAX and MIN in adjacent columns (MAX DIA, MIN DIA, MAX HEIGHT, MIN HEIGHT).

Since I guess the OP has possibly never seen a bucked rivet, this is talking about the bucked "tail" of the rivet that forms a "button head" as it is upset (as the rivet is installed).
If you can, go see some people doing this (riveting). If you can't, find some YT videos.

I'll second MIL-R-47196A. They have a fantastic table for tolerance that requires a minimum diameter, then a fairly strict height tolerance (about .010 tighter than where that table OP posted came from). Very easy to inspect and flow down to manufacturing without requiring anyone to realize D is the nominal diameter of the rivet to be used, then have to multiply by some number to establish Min and Max width and heights.
