This detail is not currently available in COMPRESS. However, this type of construction is common for heat exchangers and we are working on implementing this in COMPRESS (both for standard pressure vessels and for heat exchangers).

The design of the flange is no different if it is tongue and groove or raised face except for the dimensioning of the tongue and groove. Appendix 2 and COMPRESS do not consider the raised face or groove in the calculation of the flange thickness 't'. When setting up the design, you must select the gasket dimensions and the bolt circle to provide sufficient clearance for the tongue and groove. Just add the tongue height to the calculated flange thickness and the same for the groove depth (add, don't subtract).
