I have recently installed ACad 2007. Is there any way to remove tooltips and the pop ups while drafting?

i.e. Draw a line and there is a co-ordinate box allowing you to specify start / end points. Very annoying.

Thanks,

Kev

I think at the bottom of your screen should be a toggle named DYN (button). Click this.

Before you start saying they are annoying, maybe give them a try. You can essentially get rid of your command line be using the dynamic display. If you right click on that DYN button, you can get some setting options to get them set up right. Just one example of how you can use it. Say you need a line at a certain angle, but don't know how long. Start your line, then when asking for the second point it should have a length and an angle displayed. If you hit "tab" you will notice that it will change which one is highlighted. If you highlight the angle, type in your angle, then hit tab again, it will be locked into that angle, and you can specify where you want the second point.

In my opinion, the dynamic displays are one of the best features to come out of Autodesk for awhile. No more typing all all the @'s and <'s and whatever. Plus, everything is available right at your cursor, rather than looking down at the command line.

Anyway, just my opinion!
