We have just upgraded from NX1 to NX2. Apparently, all my toolbars are change. How can I bring all my toolbar settings and location from what I had in NX1 into NX2?

UG uses the registry to store those settings. You will need to copy the settings from the old location to the new location in the registry.

In REGEDIT, look under:
My Computer
Hkey_Current_User
Software
Unigraphics Solutions
UG
(version, V18 = 180, NX1 = 190, etc)

From here there are a lot of different settings.

Before I took a chance of migrating my toolbar settings, I would just take the 15 minutes or so to just lay the toolbars out again. Chances are that an NX1 registry layout is not identical to NX2, epecially since there are always new icons added or removed from the toolbars.

When I am migrating from one version to another, I use SNAGit to make a screen capture of my toolbar layouts. That way, I don't have to work from memory when recreating. If you still have the older version installed, you can just refer back, but it seems I always get a new computer with the new software.
