I just installed AutoCad 2006 on a new computer and for the life of me I can't figure out how to drag the toolbars that I always uses (e.g., "inquiry" and "object snap") out where I can use them. I keep getting the new Customize User Interface screen and it just isn't making sense to me. I know there is a way, since I had the toolbars about the way I wanted them on the machine that died last week. I can't find the file that worked on my old-machine backup or how I did it originally.
I went to the Transfer tab and draged the toobars I wanted into the "new CUI file" side, tried to save it as Main (that didn't work), then I gave it a new name which seemed to have created a file, but I can't get AutoCad to open it. When I try, it throws away my CADWorxx toolbars (which are pretty easy to re-establish) and none of the changes are there when I leave and come back.
It has always been so easy to drag a toolbar from a list, but this "enhancement" (if I can use that dirty word in mixed company) seems to have abandonded any Cad-intuitive user interfaces for programer-intuitive crap.
