Hi, I was wondering if someone could clear up an issue with regards to the topsides arrival temperature from an oil reservoir.

The data I have been provided with is as follows:

Expected flowing wellhead pressure (dry or wet trees) = 40 - 60 barg.
Expected flowing wellhead temperature (dry trees) = 70 – 80°C.
Expected flowing wellhead temperature (wet trees) = 100°C. Topsides arrival temperature ~ 20°C.

There is some suggestion that if we choose an FPSO, the inlet temperature to the first separator would be 20 degC, whilst for a twin steel jacket platform it would be 70-80 degC. Does the data above imply this? I assumed that the topsides arrival temperature would be the same for both an FPSO and twin steel jacket rig.

Thanks.

That what it seems to be saying alright.

Without knowing what the difference is in terms of risers it's not really possible to say why.
