I am solving a Electric Thermal coupled analysis. Here i want the total current passing through a conductor. In the output requests all i get is electric current density and ECDA which seem like nodal properties. Is there a way to get the total current(Heatflux) passing through a section ??

Make a node set of this section. Then you can sum that with a field output report or use *Node Print with totals=yes.

Hello Mustaine3,
Thank you for your response.

The outputs i have are ECD (electric current density ) and the other one is ECDA (Electric current density multiplied by area).

Am i supposed to sum the ECDA values for the nodes lying on the section??

The input current was 100A
Summed total ECDA is 4400A

I must be doing something wrong.

Please have a look into the XY plots attached.

Thank you

I'm not familiar with electric analysis. I've just mentioned a method that works for specific nodal results in thermal analysis.
