What does the "TP" and "MT" stand for? From my reads TP = Tubular Product. So does MT = Mechanical Tubing?

Thank you,

Yes

Refer to A554 Standard Specification for Welded Stainless Steel Mechanical Tubing. All products are labeled by the designation MT-[XXX] (Mechanical Tubing)

I'm not sure about MT, but TP means Tube/Pipe.

DVWE, I heard different. From my reads it stated Tubular Products. Tube Pipe makes more sense, but it's what I'm reading.

Can you start with: where did you get this, what Code, par. Or document. I see that it s a stainless number as 304 SS. Or A/SA x x x TP304 . you need to supply more data.

TP is used for tube or/and pipe while MT for mechanical tube only.
