Hi ,

I am trying to use cohesive elements to model delamination of polymer glued to metal substrate. I intend to use single mode failure.
I was wondering how to accomplish this in abaqus. I have input my Traction force in the normal only mode using the Quads traction separation
criterion for damage initiation. For damage evolution I use type displacement and mixed mode behavior as mode independent.
I also provide the displacement at failure. Is this the right approach to input the single mode failure i.e I would like to
consider traction and separation only in normal direction for damage.

Any feedback and thoughts is greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Shouvik
