If you are just going to flame me, then please stop and move on....

I recently graduated and started a job in manufacturing. I deal mostly with tooling and automation and some project management. I have been given the green light to take any courses or training I feel would help me in my career. What are some companies and seminars that you guys recommend? I have taken an introductory robotics and PLC class, and my company places high emphasis on lean methodologies. I may want a career path towards management. TIA!

maybe you should re-post in the forum "How to Improve Myself to Get Ahead in My Work"

yea I realized that after I posted, but this forum layout is not very user friendly.

SAE offers a number of seminars if your field is automotive related. Your industry or engineering branch may have something similar available.

Off the main topic - you will find out that many things in life will not be laid out according to your logical approach to the same matters. And that sometimes the best advice will be delivered with less tact than you might prefer.

The best training would be to shadow the brown-nosed people in project and site management.

I suspect that in general, successful "Type A" people are self made and were not trained by their peers. I am also very suspicious that any training of this nature that might be available would be worth a damn.
The OP question is very general. I'd recommend more specific questions to garner more specific answers. E.g., I want to learn about internal combustion engines for a career path in engine design; what introductory courses would you recommend?
