Well, I've been looking to Mathematically model Straight Drive played in the game of Cricket. I've found out Mathematical equations and have been successfully able to simulate the system in MapleSim too. I now need to validate my model. For that I need some suggestions from you people too. There is not much technical literature on Cricket bat swing out there. It would be great if someone could suggest me on this.

It'd be even greater if someone could tell me how to get trajectory made by COM of bat during the execution of straight drive.

This looks like the perfect excuse to invest in some high-speed cameras and then to spend a couple of days out in the nets.

I've couple of videos of batsmen playing straight drive. If it's possible to use some software to extract trajectories made by: forward motion of the batter, upper arm, forearm and bat... Need quick help on it...
