Is it a substation type, or padmounted type? What are the primary and secondary voltages required? Self-cooled (OA), or fan-cooled (FA)?

To begin with, you should require it meet current ANSI C57 specs., and require power factor, partial discharge, impulse, and gas-in-oil tests.

We typically require the primary (high-side) be delta-connected, with the secondary (low-side) be grounded WYE connected.

The BIL (lightning) levels are determined by the system primary and secondary voltages, and are provided for in ANSI C57.

Lastly, have you made any determination as to energy loss requirements (how energy efficient do you want it to be?)
Typically, the more energy efficient, the higher the asking price. The winning bid will have the cheapest of: asking price + 30-year energy losses.

If it's 10 kV, it is probably IEC not ANSI.

jghrist: You're right-on. That had crossed my mind.
At any rate, he's got a bit of reading to do. Maybe someone in Europe can forward him a copy of their specs. to get him going quickly, once he can be more specific as to system voltages.

Good morning Gentlemen
I’d like to remind everybody about top location of the primary and secondary bushings for IEC performance of the Transformer 10 kV. This could effect to layout .
