Hi ,

i am asking about transformer's temperature

There is any correlation between the Winding's temperature and (Var) which generated by the Generator?

for instance i have to case with same ambient temperature :-
the first, i generate (150MW) with (5Mvar)
the second, i generate (150MW) with (15Mvar)

there is any difference on the winding's temperature for the transformer?

with regards

the first, i generate (150MW) with (5Mvar) -- 150.08 MVA
the second, i generate (150MW) with (15Mvar) -- 150.75 MVA
= 1.00446 greater current, 1.009 greater I2R losses

there is any difference on the winding's temperature for the transformer? Probably not enough to measure.

Transformer winding temperature solely depends on the current ie only on MVA and not on MW.

So a difference will be certainly there. However small difference it may be!!!

Calculate your MVA. With constant voltage the MVA determines the current and the I2R heating.
