I am having problems with my element kill analysis using ANSYS 13. I am trying to analyze three cable spans that are subject to a cable breakage that is modeled using the ekill command. The analysis time is 2 seconds. The results for the first second of the simulation are fairly accurate, but after one second the forces change rapidly and get extremely large which is inaccurate. I have been unable find the error in my analysis, if anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it. I have attached a copy of my ANSYS code that is used to run the simulation.
