Good morning everyone,
i know during braker closing on 132KV system, transformer have a particular behavior.
Firstly high current absortion called magentizing inrush current, this current have 10 times steady state current, have distortion because of core saturation.

There are considerations, in your experiences, to be care during brake closing in order to minimize the inrush current?

Any explanations, considuerations, hypotesys are well accepted

Regards

Hello Sofistioelevib,
you described the "normal" behaviour of a large power transformer during inrush; nothing "particular", IMHO.
The simplest countermeasure is to install a point-on-wave control on the circuit breaker; if the circuit breaker has single-phase operating mechanism, the point-on-wave control can significantly reduce the inrush current.
