Hi

I am trying to model heating up an aluminium bar.
I used solid70 to model the data and applied convection on areas at some parts of the outer surface areas. Meshing is free with tets. The solution is nonlinear.

I want to find out the total heat (Joule or Btu) transferred to the system,

but i don't know how.

Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance

The VM110 of 'Verification Manual" seems quite similar to your case.

Code:
/POST26
ESOL,2,11,,SMISC,1,HEAT ! HEAT RATE FOR ELEMENT 11
INT1,3,2,1,,TOTAL_HT ! INTEGRATE HEAT RATE OVER TIME
PRVAR,2,3
*GET,QTOT,VARI,3,RTIME,14.5

H-up
