What about translating a Solid created in NX6 out using IGES is there a way to be sure when imported into another system it is a soild.
Note: when exporting the IGEs out of NX6 there is no menu to
choose solid only. When I create the IGES I pick the solid off the screen, so I have to assume IT is a solid
only when being exported.
Then to check my work I import it back in to NX6 and it is unsewn surfaces. I did notice that NX6 has solid as a choose of object when importing. And I will have to look for the sew option suggested on my previuos post to see if that imports it in and sews it up.
My goal is I want my customer to get a solid.
So I'll try it monday the import stuff.
Anyone chime in and tell me if I'm on the right track.
Thanks Tom

Can your customer import a parasolid (1st choice) or STEP file (2nd choice)?

If so, use one of those formats.

Tom,

Please don't start another thread when you've already got one open where you've basically asked the same questions.
