I have an iges and parasold xt file creted by Catia v4 and I'm trying to import the file into SolidWorks.

Both the iges and the parasolid file import but both files have many face and gap errors.

Can someone tell me the best method for translating a file from Catia to SolidWorks.

Thanks

seems like the best format for conversion is STEP.
I didn't know catia even supported x_t. (parasolid).

I use a program called CADdoctor which has a Catia V5 plug in.
I bring a model file into the Catia V5 plug in and convert it into a Catpart file.
Next I export the Catpart to CADdoctor and heal and stitch any gaps.
CADdoctor has an export option which lets you select SolidWorks as you target.
I save it in CAD doctor and then export as a parasolid.
Next I import the parasolid to SolidWorks and now I have a file I can work with.
