I know there are some translation programs from Catia to Solidworks. How about the other way around - Solidworks to Catia ? My company is thinking about switching to Catia so were discusing all the options.
You can only save to Catia graphics with SW... you might try looking at the same translator that brings in Catia files as a way out as well (Formatworks)... otherwise you will have to use a standard translation like "STEP".
A lot of our new clients will only do buisness with a company that uses Catia as their 3D Cad software. Thats the only reason that I know of. To be honest I just dont like it - I've worked with both sofwares and I think SW is just better. As far as I know there's no technological reason for this switch.
