Does anybody manufacture a lightweight structural composite panel that allows light transmission and is compliant with the Airbus Industries specification ABD0031 Iss F for Flammability, Smoke density and toxic gas emissions.

I remember in scool we learned that we have to reinforce with nano particles to have the same degree of transparence (carbon nano tubs). So I’m sugesting to chose a material that qualifies to your client specification and try to find the nano particle voulme fraction wich fits to yours needs (mechanical propreties).

This page references the FST-spec, and discusses the use of Lexan XL10 sheets. You should be able to decent structural properties and light transmission from a polycarbonate, but it depends on the needs of the application. Can you talk more about the specifically about this application?

Does this panel need to be of optical quality (i.e. window glazing?)
