Tri-Chord Truss Connection Design

The new AISC 13th edition has provisions for design of hss to hss connections and plate to hss chord connections in trusses in chapter K, but the connections are either “cross”, “y” or “k” connections, and are assumed to be in the same plane. Is there a reference out there, such as in AWS or the European CIDECT that has connection design for tri-chord trusses, with the diagonals hitting the chords in different planes? Is this something that is so complex that it requires FEA? Or is it something that people simplify and pretend that the different diagonals don’t have detrimental effects on the capacity of the chord.

Appreciate the advice.
